How to create an Etsy digital download listing with Vizu

1. Prepare the files your buyer receives

Create a listing in Vizu and upload the actual digital product. Keep buyer files separate from listing photos: the product might be a ZIP bundle of SVG and PNG files, while the gallery shows examples of the artwork in use.

Vizu extracts image previews from ZIP archives in your browser and creates PNG previews of SVG artwork for mockups. A preview conversion does not replace the buyer's original artwork. When using Etsy delivery, SVG originals are packaged into ZIP files; Google Drive delivery can retain the original SVG file.

Use product notes to explain facts an image cannot establish, such as dimensions, the number of designs and permitted use. AI cannot infer a valid commercial licence from the appearance of an image.

2. Create an accurate preview gallery

Choose from the mockup template library, including suggested templates matched to your product. Adjust placement and product colors, generate mockups from the uploaded designs, or add your own preview photos.

For example, a floral PNG design can be shown on a shirt mockup to demonstrate a possible application. Your listing should still say that the buyer receives a digital design and that no shirt is shipped. A printable wall-art file is better demonstrated in a frame, with its actual print dimensions described in the copy.

The Vizu gallery supports up to 20 listing photos. It can also create a short slideshow video from the mockups in your browser; video generation can be switched off.

3. Review AI listing suggestions

AI uses your artwork, mockups and product context to suggest a title, description, tags, category and attributes. Suggestions fill the listing form and remain editable. The Free plan includes 10 successful AI listing generations per month; paid plans let you continue beyond the Free allowance.

Check that the suggested text describes the downloadable files, not just the physical object in a mockup. Remove claims about editable layers, transparent backgrounds, resolution, included software or licence rights unless they are true of your product.

For a floral design bundle, useful copy explains what files are included, how many designs there are, how the buyer downloads them and which uses you permit. A random filename is not a reliable product description. AI suggestions and keywords do not guarantee Etsy rankings or sales.

4. Choose Etsy or Google Drive delivery

Drive download links have no scheduled expiry. They will stop working if the files are deleted or their sharing permissions change. Anyone with a shared download link can access the files, so this is not per-buyer access control.

You can change the delivery method while editing a Vizu draft, before creating its Etsy draft. Uploaded files remain attached. Review the description after switching so its download instructions match the selected method.

5. Check and send the Etsy draft

• Open the buyer files and check the contents, formats and dimensions.
• Confirm that the gallery and description clearly identify a digital product.
• Review the title, tags, price, category, attributes and licence information.
• Check the delivery method and connect your Etsy shop.
• Confirm the review step and send the draft to Etsy.

Vizu creates an unpublished Etsy draft. Open it in Etsy, check the attached files, photos and video, then publish when ready. Connecting your shop does not automatically publish your listings.
